It has been another strong start to the season for the Mitch Beer Racing with four winners already on the board.
Mitch Beer Racing took out the Albury premiership for 2018-2019 (presentation Cox Plate Day – Albury Racecourse) and have wasted no time in chalking up the winners for the new season.
Peggy Rose started off proceedings with an all the way win at the opening meeting for the new season at Albury under the guidance of stable rider Jordan Mallyon.
Blue Jean Baby was certainly the bookies favourite at Wagga on the 29/8 winning on debut in a strong Showcase 3YO maiden over 1200m at $71.
Blue Jean Baby certainly looks like one of the up and comers in the Mitch Beer yard and will now be set for the Listed Tasmanian Oaks in Launceston at the end of February.
Logan River (pictured) continued on his winning way in the month of September taking out the Griffith Cup with Simon Miller in the saddle.
Simon and Logan River have had a great affiliation together as Simon has now won three races on the horse with Logan winning on four occasions since coming from the Tony McEvoy stable.
The highly promising Mnementh stepped out at Wagga on September 21 and the big fellow let know body down taking out the 1200m maiden in great style and showing to us that he has an extremely bright future.
Along with some of our loyal owners, Mnementh is predominately owned by the Albury Racing Club committee and it was great to see some of the committee on course to celebrate the victory.
Plenty happening in the coming weeks for Mitch Beer Racing with Albury races being held on Saturday week (Caulfield Guineas Day) and October 26th (Cox Plate Day).
Don’t forget our owners Champagne Breakfast morning on the 26/10/19 so please RSVP if you are attending.
To all the New South Wales people have a great long weekend and to the Vic’s, enjoy Fabulous Flemington headed by the Group One Turnball Stakes.
