Having only her third start at Cranbourne this evening Journeygirl showed she has a bright future ahead of her after taking out the opening event on the programme in good style.
The daughter of Passenger was confidently ridden by inform hoop Ryan Maloney and showed she is certainly heading in the right direction with a gutsy win.
The filly actually bucked at her first start so there was legitimate excuses and ran a brave fourth at her second start at the cricket score odds of $151.
It was a great result for her owners, Tim and Fiona Bailey who are from the West and would have been very proud of their girl on the night.
Both Mitch Beer and Max Hinton explained that the filly still has plenty of improvement left in her and looks like she is going to make city class.
It continues a great 2017 start for MBH Racing with that result being their third for the month!!
