Broadstone continued the great affiliation Mitch Beer Racing has with the Albury Racing Club with Broadstone taking the third event in easy fashion yesterday afternoon, the Maiden Plate over 1175m.
Giving local jockey Kayla Nisbet an arm chair ride, Broadstone was never in doubt winning with something in hand and the horse has been a model of consistency since joining the MBR yard.
Formerly trained by Mick Price, Broadstome has now had four starts for MBR with 1 win ,1 second and 2 fourths making him a good little money spinner for his connections.
After yesterday’s win there is no reason why Broadstone can’t be back in the winners stall very shortly and once again is a real credit to trainer Mitch Beer who has plenty of success with tried horses.
As winter hits this Friday, MBR has decided to set up a ‘winter’ stable in Albury over the next 3 months.
As most of you would be aware it can get pretty wet around the Mornington Peninsula over the coming three months so we thought it would be a good idea to have a handful of horses based at Albury for dryer tracks both at the races and at track work and of course a change is as good as a holiday.
If one of your horses is moved to Albury over the winter months you will be informed by Mitch direct or through the office with Brent Crawford.
We always like to try different things at MBR and we look forward to the trial of our second stable over the next three months.
With one month to go in the current season we hope to finish where we left off as it has been a good season to us with 14 winners for the season, 10 coming from the 1st February since MBR was launched.
If anyone has any further questions please feel free in calling us direct.
Go MBR Racing!!
